Matthias Ainz joined the Findustrial team at the end of May 2021. He takes care of our financing partners and supports the product development of Pay-per-Use business and financing models. He draws on his many years of experience in the banking sector and senior positions in finance departments of an industrial company.
But now let him tell for himself:
Who are you?
I’m Matthias, I see myself as a financial all-rounder who focuses on people as well as numbers.
I started my professional career in the Salzburg Raiffeisen Banking Group after graduating from the commercial academy. During this time, I started my part-time bachelor studies in law and economics at the University of Salzburg.
After 11 years in the banking sector, I switched to industry as Group Treasurer of the BWT Group, an international water treatment company. In more than 15 years with the BWT Group, I was able to take on various managerial tasks in the financial and commercial areas, most recently as Head of Group Finance of the BWT Group and Commercial Managing Director of BWT Austria GmbH.
After I was able to get to know Günter just a few months after the founding of Findustrial and we have always exchanged ideas, I am pleased that I am now part of Findustrial.
If I am not busy with Pay-per-Use, I like to spend my time with my family (3 children), continue my education or pursue my hobby of music. If there is still some time to find, I try to do some sports.
What’s the best thing about your job?
In the end, it’s many things that count in total. What pleases me most is that we are allowed to deal with something we are convinced of and with which we can offer our customers and partners added value. The whole thing combined with discussions at eye level and quick decisions.
Why do you think the Pay-per-Use market will develop in the upcoming months and years and thereby drive the use of the Findustrial platform?
We live in extremely fast-moving times, combined with great uncertainties. Pay-per-Use models are a solution that offers flexibility and minimizes risk.
What do you say about your team?
It is always the people who make a company successful. At Findustrial, we have a team with many years of experience in a wide variety of areas, as well as career starters with new perspectives. All of this in an appreciative start-up environment with an open discussion and error culture. That’s what makes it.
What is your greatest strength?
I question everything critically, but the whole thing with a positive attitude.
What is your favourite quote that you would like to share with us at the end?
“Paths are made by walking them.” – Franz Kafka
